FATHER DANIEL OSHWALD
INAUGURAL PASTOR OF MOTHER TERESA CATHOLIC CHURCH
Father Daniel Oschwald is the inaugural pastor of Mother Teresa Catholic Church in Cary. Ordained in 1998, he served in the Diocese of Raleigh for more than 25 years in a variety of pastoral, educational, and leadership roles.
His ministry has included service as Rector of Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh, pastor of several parishes across Eastern North Carolina, Priest Secretary to Bishop Joseph Gossman, and chaplain at Cardinal Gibbons High School. He has also held diocesan leadership roles in vocations and priest education and formation.
Father Daniel helped lead the growth of Mother Teresa from a Catholic community at Green Hope Station to a mission and, in 2023, an established parish, where he was appointed its first pastor.
