Development Manager

Job Title: Development Manager
Reports To: Director of Development
Salary Range: $55,000–$60,000 commensurate with experience

Position Summary
The Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing the mission and long-term sustainability of Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School. Rooted in Catholic social teaching and a commitment to educational equity, this position blends strong operational execution with relationship-based fundraising and stewardship.
Working closely with the Director of Development, Corporate Work Study (CWS) leadership, and the Communications team, the Development Manager ensures excellence in donor data management, event execution, communications, and partner coordination. This role is ideal for a highly organized, mission-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow in nonprofit advancement.
Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Donor Engagement
● Support annual giving efforts, including appeals, campaigns, sponsorships, and special events
● Assist with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for individual, corporate, foundation, and faith-based donors
● Prepare donor correspondence, acknowledgments, and stewardship materials
● Support major gift and grant proposal development as assigned
● Maintain accurate donor records, reports, and giving histories in DonorPerfect

Database & Systems Management
● Maintain and update DonorPerfect to reflect all gifts, contacts, and engagement activity
● Ensure data alignment between DonorPerfect and the CWS database (Salesforce)
● Maintain accurate mailing and invitation lists for Development and CWS outreach (especially Angel sponsors)
● Coordinate moves management activity across Development, CWS, and school leadership to ensure aligned donor and partner engagement
● Track and maintain the grant pipeline, including submission calendars, reporting deadlines, and outcomes

Events & Engagement
● Plan and execute logistics for Development and CWS events (e.g., donor receptions, draft days, graduation, signing day, gala/spring benefit)
● Coordinate RSVPs, vendors, catering, materials, and event timelines
● Support Board meeting logistics, including setup, materials, and catering
● Assist with cultivation events, site visits, and donor briefings

Corporate Work Study & Partnerships
● Collaborate with CWS leadership to steward corporate partners
● Support partner communications, recognition, and engagement activities
● Assist with partner-facing events, materials, and acknowledgment efforts
● Maintain and update CWS partner recognition displays and walls
Communications & Marketing Coordination
● Manage print mailings for Development, including appeals and invitations
● Collaborate with the Communications Manager to ensure consistent, mission-aligned messaging across print, email, and social media

● Oversee production, inventory, and organization of marketing materials for Development, Admissions, and CWS
Intern & Volunteer Management
● Supervise Leadership Interns assigned to Development, Finance, President, and CWS teams
● Provide training, schedules, and meaningful project work for interns
● Coordinate with volunteer leadership to ensure volunteers are properly recorded in DonorPerfect and stewarded appropriately

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
● Database Accuracy: 98%+ accuracy across DonorPerfect and Salesforce
● Event Execution: 100% of events executed on time and within budget
● Mailing Timeliness: 100% of print mailings sent on or ahead of schedule
● Grant Management: 100% of grant deadlines met or submitted early
● Intern Supervision: Intern performance meets expectations based on staff feedback
● Material Management: Marketing materials stocked and reordered within two weeks of need
● Donor & Partner Alignment: Major donors and partners reflected accurately across systems

Qualifications Required
● Bachelor’s degree required (communications, nonprofit management, marketing, or related field preferred)
● 2–4 years of experience in development, advancement, nonprofit fundraising, or related work
● Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Proficiency with donor databases and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

The Partnership Manager will also maintain a portfolio of Corporate Work Study partners and students by cultivating and managing strong, mission-aligned relationships, and ensuring that the student work experience is meaningful, productive, and mutually beneficial. The Partnership Manager supports partner retention, satisfaction, and growth while helping students develop professionally.

  • Provide guidance to supervisors on coaching and evaluating student performance.
  • Actively build and maintain long-term relationships to ensure engagement and retention.

Successful candidates must:
  • Have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Complete and maintain updated criminal and children’s protective clearance before hire.
  • Be able to provide DMV records.
  • Be authorized to work legally in the U.S.

  • Be available for morning and afternoon shifts, Monday – Friday.
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
  • Experience working with High School students and a diverse student population
  • Experience with a GPS.
  • A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Transports students in compliance with all safety regulations and rules of the road as established by the state of North Carolina.
  • Shifts can be PERFECT for part-time or retired persons.
  • Picks students up from designated bus stops and brings them to school. (6:15-7:45 a.m.)
  • Takes students to and from work (8:15-10:00 a.m.) (2:00– 4:00 p.m.)
  • Drops students off at designated bus stops (4:00-5:00 p.m.)
  • Adhere to strict time schedules and routes for boarding, dropping off, and picking up students from neighborhoods and Corporate Partners.
