Michael Goodmon

Executive Vice President of Capitol Broadcasting Company

Michael Goodmon is Executive Vice President of Capitol Broadcasting Company, where he leads the company’s real estate and baseball divisions, including the American Tobacco Historic District, Rocky Mount Mills, the Durham Bulls, and the Holly Springs Salamanders.

A fourth-generation leader in the family-owned company, he has also been instrumental in developing the American Underground startup hub and advancing CBC’s alternative energy and investment initiatives.

A committed community advocate, Michael serves on numerous boards supporting entrepreneurship and regional growth and was appointed by Governor Roy Cooper as chair of the Governor’s Entrepreneurial Council for North Carolina. He holds a B.S. in Mathematical Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and a Master’s in Trust and Investment Management from Campbell University. Michael lives in Durham with his wife, Liz, and their four children.
